Kirsten Dunst

Geboren als Kirsten Caroline Dunst op 30 april 1982 in Point Pleasant. Ze begon haar carrière op driejarige leeftijd als kind-model en stond onder contract bij modellenbureaus Ford en Elite. Ze maakte op achtjarige leeftijd haar filmdebuut in "Oedipus Wrecks", Woody Allens bijdrage aan het filmdrieluik "New York Stories" (1989). Een jaar later speelde ze de rol van Campbell McCoy, de dochter van Sherman McCoy (Tom Hanks), in "The Bonfire of the Vanities". In 1993 speelde ze mee in de Star Trek: The Next Generation-aflevering "Dark Page". In 1994 brak ze door met haar rol als Claudia in "Interview with the Vampire", waarvoor ze een Golden Globe-nominatie voor beste actrice in een bijrol kreeg. In 2011 won ze de prijs voor beste actrice op het Filmfestival van Cannes, voor haar hoofdrol in "Melancholia". Sinds 29 augustus 2019 heeft zij een ster op de Hollywood Walk of Fame, op 7076 Hollywood Boulevard.
