Ron Howard

Leeftijd: 70 jaar

Geboren op 1 maart 1954 in Duncan, Oklahoma. Zoon van Rance Howard, broer van Clint Howard. Als acteur werd hij in de jaren 70 bij het grote publiek bekend als Richie Cunningham in de populaire televisieserie Happy Days. Henry Winkler, de acteur die in die serie Fonzie speelde, is peetvader van Ron Howards dochter Bryce Dallas Howard.

Na een aantal korte films maakte hij in 1977 zijn eerste speelfilm Grand Theft Auto. Daarna maakte hij de komische films Night Shift (1982) en Splash (1984). Voor Cocoon won hij in 1986 een Saturn Award en voor A Beautiful Mind (2001) won hij twee Oscars, voor Beste Film en Beste Regie. Sinds 10 december 2015 heeft hij een ster op de Hollywood Walk of Fame, op 6931 Hollywood Boulevard.
