Chris Columbus

Hij studeerde aan de JFK High School in Warren, Ohio, waarna hij als scenarioschrijver ging werken bij Steven Spielbergs Amblin Productions. Hij schreef de scripts voor Gremlins (1984), The Goonies (1985) en Young Sherlock Holmes (1985). Zijn regiedebuut maakte hij in 1987 met Adventures in Babysitting. Zijn grootste successen haalde hij met de eerste twee Home Alone-films en de eerste twee Harry Potter-films.
